Stone Cold Serpents
December 23, 2009 Happy holidays! Things have been kind of slow lately, but I've already had plenty of boas and ball
pythons mating, as well as coastal carpet pythons. 2009 was a real good season for us, and I know 2010 will be even
better! Here's a list of breeding projects I'll be attempting to breed in 2010:
Colombian boas (albinos, hypos, super hypos, and normals)
Ball pythons (pastels, spiders, mojaves, and normals)
Coastal carpet pythons and jungle/coastal carpet pythons
Burmese pythons (albino greens, granites, and normals)
Yellow anacondas
Honduran milk snakes (hypos and normals)
Pueblan milk snakes (apricots)
Nelson's milk snakes (albinos)
Corn snakes (various morphs)
California king snakes, desert king snakes, and prairie king snakes
Western hognoses
Sonoran gopher snakes (red albinos and normals)
Bull snakes
...and who knows what else!
July 29, 2009 Yellow anacondas were just born today, and they are feisty! There are plenty of corn snakes and California
king snakes hatching. Burmese pythons will be available this weekend, and boas in another week. I'll be taking individual
photos as soon as possible.
September 6, 2009 The season has gone great! I'd like to thank everyone who has picked up a snake from us. We'll be at
the Lone Star Reptile Expo here in Arlington on September 19 and 20, so be sure to stop by our table and say "hi"!
May 20, 2009 I just recently got some corn snake and California eggs, and have plenty more on the way. It also looks like I
should be getting albino boas and yellow anacondas this season as early as July, so it should be a pretty good season
for me. Just keep checking to see what I have!
July 17, 2009 Corn snakes are just starting to hatch. There will be plenty of them, especially considering I'm still getting
eggs. And California king snakes should begin hatching in the next week. The Burmese pythons have shed and I'll be
offering their first meal today, and the boas should be shedding any day as well. I'm still waiting (impatiently) on the
yellow anacondas. I'll be updating the available page as snakes become ready for sale.
June 27, 2009 My granite Burmese pythons should be hatching any day, and I should get albino boas next week as well,
followed shortly by yellow anacondas. I have around 150 corn snake and king snake eggs which should start hatching in
about a month, and just had more African house snakes hatch. As snakes hatch or are born and begin feeding, I will add
them to the "Available" page. And on the "Field Herping" page, I just added some photos of a snake that I have wanted to
see for a long time and finally found, a Texas coral snake! Definitely exciting to see one in the wild, especially in an area
where they are considered to be rare!
July 2, 2009 Burmese pythons are currently hatching as I type this and I should be getting boas (normals and albinos) any
day now, followed by yellow anacondas. Butter corns and amel (albino) corns will be hatching in about two weeks.
April 13, 2009 I've been busy pairing up snakes and have had plenty of breeding activity with my king snakes, corn snakes,
and milk snakes. Plus, I should be getting ball python eggs here in the near future, and it's looking like I'll be getting some
boas this year as well. And my jungle carpet python is laying eggs right now as I type this. As anything happens, I'll update
this page, so stay tuned!
February 12, 2009 I'm expecting a lot of snakes this year. I recently had 9 African house snakes hatch, which will be
available soon. Below is a list of all of the snakes I'll be attempting to breed, some of which have already bred. I'm not
expecting success with all of them, but should be successful with most of them. Here's the list:
-Ball Pythons (pastels, spiders, normals)
-Colombian Boa Constrictors (albinos, hypos, normals)
-Jungle Carpet Pythons
-Burmese Pythons (granites, normals)
-Yellow Anacondas
-California King Snakes (albinos, normals, both with various patterns)
-Desert King Snakes
-Honduran Milk Snakes (hypo tangerines, normal tangerines)
-Pueblan Milk Snakes (apricots, normals)
-Corn Snakes (albinos, snows, butters, anerys, root beers)
-Bull Snakes
-Great Plains Rat Snakes
-Texas Rat Snakes (high orange)
April 27, 2009 I just had 23 Burmese python eggs laid yesterday. They will be granite Burms and normals. They will be
hatching in mid to late June. I should have ball pythons available in July, as well as a variety of other snakes available in
July and August.
January 5, 2009 Happy New Year! Hopefully this will be a good year as far as my breeding projects are concerned. If
everything goes well, I expect to produce over 200 snakes. But I'll be happy with anything I can get! I've seen breeding
action with my ball pythons, as well as a little with my yellow anacondas and my Colombian boas, so hopefully something
comes out of all of it. I should be getting my first 2009 snakes to hatch in a few weeks, African house snakes. Not to
mention, I have plenty of king snakes, corn snakes, milk snakes, rat snakes, and bull snakes I'll be breeding this year.
September 28, 2008 The DFW Lonestar Reptile Expo went great. We had a great time, and sold all 65 snakes that we
brought. You can't ask for anything better! I want to thank everyone who came out and said hello, not to mention everyone
who picked up a snake from us. Since we're practically out of available snakes, we won't be doing any more shows until
sometime next year. But I anticipate 2009 to be a great year for us. Later!
September 26, 2008 I've been busy working, as well as taking care of over 200 snakes. It's a handful! I'm also getting
ready for the local reptile expo this weekend. Hopefully I can unload a bunch of these hungry mouths! I'll take photos of
everything I have left after the show and update the website. I had more snow corns hatch last week. And I'm starting to
fatten everybody up for winter. I'm expecting alot of snakes next year, the usual colubrids (kings, corns, rats, milks, etc.),
as well as boas and pythons of various species and morphs.
August 7, 2008 I've got all kinds of snakes that have recently hatched. Snow corn snakes, apricot Pueblan milksnakes,
California kingsnakes, desert kingsnakes, among others. They will all be available after they've had a few meals with no
problems.
March 27, 2010 I have several pythons, boas and an anaconda which are gravid and more to come, plus I'll have LOTS of
corn snakes, king snakes, and other colubrids. The majority of the boas and pythons will be hatching/born in July, and
most of the colubrids will be hatching in August. I'm expecting several hundred offspring this season, so there will be
plenty to choose from at great prices. I'm going to be very busy this year!
June 7, 2010 I just had my first boas born this morning, with many more to come in July. I'm also about a week and a half
from having ball pythons hatch, with albino green Burmese pythons coming soon as well. I have at least 120 corn snake
eggs with more on the way, as well as western hognose, California king snake and Pueblan milk snake eggs. It doesn't
look I'll be successful with all of the breeding projects I've attempted this season, but I'll still have at least 300 baby
snakes this year, so it's going to be a great year!
May 13, 2010 Things are off to a great start! I've already received several ball python eggs, as well as albino green
Burmese python eggs and coastal carpet python eggs. I'm about to get corn snake, milk snake and king snake eggs any
time now. And I have a couple of boas who look like they're ready to burst! The first babies should begin hatching and
being born in early July. I'll update the "available" page as they become ready for sale. And of course, I've been going out
looking for snakes to photograph in the wild every chance I get. You can check the "field herping" page to see just a small
sample of what I've seen. I've already documented at least 150 snakes in the wild so far this year.
June 15, 2010 I had some pastel and normal ball pythons just finish hatching this morning, and I had carpet pythons hatch
the other day. They were from breeding a coastal carpet to a jungle carpet. And the boas should be having their first shed
any day now. As always, they will become available after they've had three consecutive problem free meals. Plus, I will have
a wide variety of snakes this year. Here's a quick list of what will be hatching/born in the next few months:

Albino Green Burmese Pythons (Due to hatch the first week of July.)
Colombian Boa Constrictors (I have some which have already been born and many more due in July.)
Yellow Anacondas (These will be born in mid to late July. I still have some unrelated annies from last year.)
Ball Pythons (I will have pastels and normals)
Carpet Pythons (I will have jungel/coastal carpets and a few coastals)
Corn Snakes (I will have LOTS of these. There will be normals, amels, aneries, snows, butters, motleys, etc.)
California King Snakes (Normals, albinos, bananas, aberrants, etc.)
Pueblan Milk Snakes (Apricots)
Western Hognoses
African House Snakes
Leopard Geckos (A new project for us. I've got many eggs in the incubators.)
And I'm still hopeful that I'll get red albino Sonoran gopher snake eggs, bull snake eggs and Great Plains rat snake eggs.
June 25, 2010 I'm still getting plenty of eggs. Over the last few days, I've received ball python eggs from breeding a spider
to a normal, as well as red albino Sonoran gopher snake and Great Plains rat snake eggs, and of course, plenty more corn
snake and California king snake eggs. I already have over 170 corn snake eggs in the incubator. I now have well over 300
eggs and am still expecting more. Considering I also have live bearing snakes, this should easily be a 400 snake season.
It's exciting, but I'm not looking forward to feeding an additional 400 mouths, especially considering I have 200 to 250
snakes of my own! I have coastal carpet pythons hatching currently, and the ball pythons, boas and jungle carpets that I've
already had are currently going through their first shed, so I'll be attempting to feed them for the first time in the next few
days. After three successful meals, they'll be available for sale. The pastel ball pythons are all spoken for, but there will be
more hatching in two weeks.
